Gold Bond® RES-X™ Gypsum Board consists of a fire-resistant Type X gypsum core and a heavy, natural finish, 100% recycled paper on the face and back sides. The face paper is folded around the long edges to reinforce and protect the core. GridMarX® are printed on the paper surface to help installers instantly identify stud locations and make accurate cuts without having to pencil in or snap chalk lines.

RES-X Gypsum Board is created specifically for wood-framed construction. It features a Type X fire-resistant core for use in laboratory-tested, fire-rated wall assemblies. Use 5/8” RES-X for interior walls and ceilings in residential applications where framing members are spaced up to 24” o.c.
